Yes, we are having the AIDS Walk again this year, after a fashion. COVID has caused us to make some adjustments— for instance, no Piedmont Park, no Peachtree Street, and no large gatherings--but we’re still walking to raise money for the fight against HIV/AIDS. While we struggle to deal with the pandemic that’s been with us for months, we must still turn our attention to the pandemic that we’ve had for over 30 years.
I’ll be walking on Saturday, September 26th, in my neighborhood! I’ll even take a selfie in my AIDS Walk T-shirt and send it to you, just so you’ll know we are walking again this year. Other fundraisers will be doing the same, and we’ll all be walking together all over Atlanta. This year not only will 100% of your donation be used locally, each benefiting agency will receive a matching gift dollar for dollar that will double your donation! Yes, you can really help prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and provide critical social services and healthcare for people living with HIV.
Please support me in this effort. Your gift makes a direct impact on my goal to save lives right here in Atlanta from the devastation of HIV/AIDS. To make a donation, click on the Donate Now button in the upper right corner of this page. Many thanks for supporting me!
