Hello, and thank you for visiting my AIDS Walk Atlanta and 5K Run & Music Festival webpage! Once again, I've decided to take an active part in the battle against AIDS, and on Saturday, September 24, I will participate in a 5K fundraising walk in Piedmont Park.
As many of you know I have been involved in the fight to end AIDS for nearly 25 years and have lost many comrades, colleagues, and champions to this fight. I am still fighting because although treatments have improved, and people are living longer AIDS in the Black community is still a public health emergency. While the world moves on, I am continuing to take a stand with AIDS Walk Atlanta and NAESM. We're here, walking for our friends, our neighbors, our loved ones, and our community, particularly our BLACK community.
I walk because of the nearly 40,000 people living with HIV in Atlanta most more than 75% are Black gay men. I walk to remember my father, and the countless friends and family I have lost to this disease. I walk to remind you that you are not alone. I walk to ensure that NAESM continues to thrive and serve the communities that I care about in Atlanta.
Please support me with a donation. Your gift makes a direct impact on my goal to save lives right here in Atlanta from the devastation of HIV/AIDS. Together, we are making a difference!
