THRIVE SS
Walking with Purpose: Empowering Community, Serving All
At THRIVESS, our doors are open to everyone in the Atlanta area seeking support, resources, and connection in the fight against HIV. While our services are available to all, our programs are led by and centered around Black same-gender-loving men living with HIV - the community most impacted by the epidemic.
Founded in 2015, THRIVE SS has grown from a grassroots online support group into a robust community resource, serving over 1,300 clients in Atlanta. By supporting our AIDS Walk team, you’re investing in a future where stigma is dismantled, care is equitable, and every person has access to the tools, the care, and resources they need to thrive.
Our 2025 Fundraising and Giving Focus
This year, our Thrive SS Walk Team is raising funds to support two essential initiatives: the distribution of free HIV self-test kits and the launch of our new GED support program. The self-test kits allow individuals to know their status in a private, accessible, and stigma-free way—helping close gaps in testing and early diagnosis. The GED program is more than just an educational tool; it's a pathway to both economic and racial justice.
