I was 15 when my teacher and mentor, dancer Aaron Dugger, died of AIDS at the age of 28. I was 20 when my beautiful aunt died of AIDS at 27. My career in Public Health began coordinating HIV/STD prevention projects out of the Fulton County Department of Health building across from Grady Hospital, where Correll Pavilion will soon stand.
While the world moves on, AIDS Walk Atlanta takes a stand. We're here, walking for our friends, our neighbors, our loved ones, and our community.
Please support me with a donation. As you know, I serve as the Board Chair for The Center for Black Women's Wellness (CBWW). We've been selected as a beneficiary of the AIDS Walk Atlanta. All sponsorship and support raised through CBWW will be matched 100%.
