Over the past 37 years, the Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW) has created a legacy in the Atlanta community which ensures that women and families will always have access to quality healthcare. Tragically, Georgia ranks 47th in the nation for women not covered by health insurance, and 49th for women who avoid healthcare due to cost.
This year, I’ve set a goal to raise $1,000 to provide mammograms and follow up care for five uninsured women. Will you help me reach my goal?
I'm so excited to participate in this year's AIDS Walk Atlanta Musical Festival and 5K Run and raise funds to help more women receive care at CBWW. This Walk is so unique because your gift gets matched until September 27, 2025. This means that if I reach my fundraising goal, even MORE uninsured women will get care.
You can also get involved by 1) joining our team and walking with us on September 27th at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, or 2) creating a sub-team under the CBWW team page and having your team raise funds while having tons of fun. If you plan to walk with us, use registration code CBWW25.
Thank you so much for your support. On September 27, I am walking on behalf of the thousands of women I encounter who need and deserve affordable, equitable healthcare. Despite these challenging times, please know that together we CAN make a difference!
