This year, I’m stepping up in a new way—I’ve supported AIDS Walk Atlanta in the past, but this is my first time fundraising. After more than 20 years of service, volunteering, and advocacy in the HIV community, I know firsthand how much this event means for ensuring vital services remain available.
For the past 4.5 years, I’ve been proud to work at Positive Impact Health Centers (PIHC). My role may not be in direct medical care, but I make a difference every day by helping our facilities stay clean, organized, and welcoming. I want every client who walks through our doors to feel confident, comfortable, and cared for.
I often say, “I want people to feel good about coming to their provider’s office.”
I’m walking because HIV services need our support more than ever. Threats to funding put vital care at risk—but together, we can keep services going strong. Every dollar you give gets doubled, helping PIHC continue providing life-changing care to those who need it most.
A little about me: I hit the gym three times a week to stay in shape and to stay motivated, and when I’m not working out, I’m enjoying chicken parmesan at Osteria's in Virginia Highlands (it’s the best in town!). I know that those two statements contradict each other, but I get it without the cheese on top, so that's my justification!
Help me reach my $500 goal—no gift is too small, and every bit makes a difference. Together, we can ensure our community continues to have access to the care, compassion, and hope it deserves.
Let’s make every step count and show our community that we’ve got their back!
