This year, I’m putt'n aside the heels and lacing up my sneakers to hit the pavement for AIDS Walk Atlanta Music Festival & 5K Run - not just for the steps, but for the souls. I’ll be walking with the powerful folks at Trans Women of Color Healing Project, a team that’s as bold, brilliant, and beautiful as the mission we’re walking for.

Why'd I join this team? Because I see trans women of color carry so much of the work in this movement, and often with the least support. And real talk? Folks who are comforted, supported and uplifted by the trans community are the first to hide their face when it's time to support. That's why walking alongside Toi and the team felt like an opportunity to show up - in body, spirit, solidarity, and a coin.
