Thank you for visiting the page and for considering making a donation towards AIDS Walk Atlanta Music Festival & 5K Run. I will participate in a 5K fundraising walk in Piedmont Park to take an active part in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
The urgency of this cause was reiterated for me after a recent doctor’s visit. I learned just how staggering the number of new HIV/AIDS cases in Atlanta is this year alone. Despite what some in power have tried to claim — that the epidemic is over or no longer a priority — the reality is that lives are still very much at stake. This is not just an issue for the LGBTQ+ community; it affects friends, neighbors, and loved ones across our entire city.
We are here to walk for our friends, neighbors, and loved ones to raise awareness, inspire our community to work together, and ultimately end the epidemic once and for all. As we walk, we remember those who can no longer walk with us and strive to make a positive change in our city. With nearly 40,000 people in Atlanta living with HIV, every step we take and every donation we receive makes a difference in saving lives.
That’s why I’m walking with Miles of Hope because every mile we walk represents hope: hope for better care, hope for a cure, and hope for a future where no one has to fear this disease.
I am asking for your support with a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal. Together, we can make an impact in our community and create a better future. Thank you for your generosity.
