Each year, I meet more and more individuals who have lost their homes due to the lack of affordable housing. Many of the individuals I meet are also facing mental health challenges. The truth is, these challenges are deeply intertwined: untreated mental health conditions can lead to homelessness, and the impact of homelessness can worsen mental health. It’s a cycle that too many people are trapped in without support.

As someone in the mental health field, I’ve seen firsthand how close this issue hits. I’ve sat with individuals who feel invisible, who are doing their best to survive without the basic stability most of us take for granted. I’ve seen the gaps in care, resources, and community.

That’s why I’m raising money Bridge of Light, an organization focused on restoring dignity to those experiencing homelessness.
