This campaign is for THEM.

For the people I know personally who have been impacted by the virus, who are constantly seeking affirming care, and are met with runaround after runaround or no resources at all.

I am part of the Pride community, and I’ve seen how questions about access, safety, and care are rarely asked in ways that reflect our lived realities. My Pride brothers, heterosexual Black men, and heterosexual Black women are overrepresented in need, but under-resourced in care and expected to be resilient in systems that were never built for us.

This is especially true for Black trans and cis women and LGBTQIA+ communities who continue to navigate medical systems that delay, dismiss, or deny affirming care.

It is also for individuals who live outside of rural communities, where your status becomes visible in ways you did not choose, and where seeking care can mean exposure instead of privacy. Where everyone knows your name, but no one has what you need.

This is not abstract for me. This is personal.

We are raising $10,000 for Team Jimmy Jam in support of the TWOC Healing Project to help bring community-based, affirming care into rural and under-resourced areas so care is not limited to large cities or gatekept systems.

We are building toward a future where access is not determined by geography, identity, or who feels safe enough to ask.

This is for them. This is for us. Help us reach $10,000.
