Hiking for enjoyment, walking for funds for Bridge of Light!
When I retired several years ago, I promised my niece that I would devote more time to Bridge of Light. This nonprofit organization serves individuals experiencing homelessness by providing grace and diginity through mobile showers and laundry services, hygiene kits and hair cuts. Approximately 19% of the population we support are over the age of 55: "silver seniors" As my volunteering hours increased, I became known as "Auntie" to all our team members and friends.
In addition to my passion for Bridge of Light, I've always loved walking, hiking in the woods and group exercise classes. Yes...I am a "Gym Rat/Junkie". I truly believe "movement is life!" On a beautiful cloudless day getting a little sunshine while walking lifts my spirits. Hiking up Kennesaw Mountain or completing my Step and Strength class...Sweaty and tired is an accomplishment for me a "silver senior (55+)
Thank you for visiting my page and learning about my joys. I'm not asking you to hike up Stone Mountain or attend a 50 pound weight lifting contest.
I am asking for your support with a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal. Together, we can make an impact in our community and create a better future. Thank you for your generosity.
