I’m turning 35! In honor of this important milestone, I’m raising $3500 for Georgia Equality and registering 35 walkers to join us at the AIDs Walk Atlanta on September 27th!
By pledging to walk or donate to this initiative, you’re not only supporting Georgia Equality’s mission, but also your & your neighbors health and well being.
How much?
I’m asking that you contribute at least $50 if you are able to. Each donation will be matched 50% by AIDS Walk Atlanta, so your $50 donation will be $75. If you’re unable to, every dollar counts! We also welcome you to walk with us - every teammate we bring to the event helps GA equality as well.
Why now?
As auger public health professional, it’s no surprise that Trump’s second presidency has threatened the communities I hold dear. Of course, being unsurprised doesn’t make it any less distressing. I’m not only worried for myself, but the LGBTQ+ young people in the state of Georgia.
Why GA Equality?
During its 30 year tenure in this state, our organization has proven time and time again that we do have the power to impact our local government. One of my favorite examples, from 2004 to 2024 - GA Equality prevented all explicitly anti-LGBTQ+ bills from passing at the Capitol. We mean business!
