The Lanterns

SHINE ON

Through my work with Bridge of Light, I have the honor of serving our community members who are at-risk of, currently experiencing, or transitioning from low-income situations or being un-housed. Every time we take our mobile hygiene services into the community, we carry more than supplies — we carry compassion, dignity, and human connection.

At Bridge of Light, we provide showers, laundry services, haircuts, and mental health wellness support to our brothers and sisters who simply need a moment to recharge and feel cared for again. We often say we carry our lanterns out into the world to be a light during dark times. And I’ve witnessed firsthand what happens when someone is reminded that they matter.

A hot shower becomes more than water. Clean clothes become more than fabric. A haircut becomes more than appearance. These small acts restore confidence, dignity, and hope. You can see and feel it immediately — brighter smiles, lifted spirits, and renewed energy.

That is why I’m raising money for Bridge of Light and AidsWalk Atlanta.

As I participate in this AidsWalk ATL 5K, I’m walking for those who feel unseen, for those impacted by HIV/AIDS, and for every person in our city who deserves access to care, support, and community. With nearly 40,000 people in Atlanta living with HIV and approximately 2,900 individuals currently un-housed, the need for compassion, awareness, and action is still urgent.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity.
